ABOUT ME

I am Em and I love adventure and travel and discovering new places; reading and writing of all sorts although I am not fond of university essays as they tend to restrict creativity and burry personality under a dull structure; yoga and tae kwon do and especially snowboarding; unconventional dancing with my sister and singing to everything and everywhere.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I still live with my parents while I am in school, but once I get my own place I plan to keep a spare couch for visitors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have very often surfed on couched of friends and relatives, but never through this website. There are so many places that I want to see where I do not know anyone, so I am eager to try out this website. It is a brilliant way to get in touch with people all over the world.

Superficialities that have captured my heart include quality coffee, loose-leaf tea, creative album cover artwork, inexpensive vintage treasures, classic fiction novels, photography gadgets, wacky hair dye, cheese and chocolate.

I am usually not fond of television unless what I am watching somehow impacts my way of thinking or inspires me. I enjoy reading books, mostly classic fiction novels. My favourite author is most likely John Steinbeck. I am a lover of all music, my favourite kinds being rock&roll, blues, soul, indie rock, classical, jazz, and folk.

I shaved my head once to raise money for my community's cancer clinic.
I am 18 and I have travelled across canada 3 times, twice to Europe - once with a tour group and once on my own, and I am eager to see the rest of the world and its amazing people!

I know French and English very well and would have fun sharing this knowledge! I desperately want to learn Spanish, but I honestly love learning anything. One cannot be too knowledgeable.
