Hi! I'm Emilie. I'm currently living in Hong Kong as part of a double degree program I'm doing, but I'm originally from France (Paris, which technically makes me the true Emilie in Paris hahaha)!!
I grew up in France and in the US, and some of my favorite things are history and cooking !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be able to exchange with people living in the places I visit: their stories, their adventures, their routines... I want to be able to learn simple things that I wouldn't learn in a hostel, and that you usually find out by actually living somewhere! For example, how do people sort their trash, or eat for breakfast?! Just random stuff I am curious about!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not sure if I have a favorite movie because I fall asleep in front of most of them! But I do love animal and history documentaries:D
I listen to a lot of different music: rap, pop, country, rock, jazz, different genres of folk music throughout the world, techno even!...and I love to discover music that people recommend me. So, if you have any songs you love, keep them coming!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Move to another country by myself (Hong Kong), and visiting 11 (soon 13!) countries by myself. I think that's pretty cool, given that I am still fairly young and I have time to expand that number!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French, and English if yours isn't super amazing! I also have random fun facts, surprisingly a lot of them, specifically about trains!

I can learn so many things from everyone. For one, I'd like to learn how to hitchhike. However, I mostly want to learn people's everyday lives, what they look like... I love learning about food customs, cooking, and I love when hosts share that to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my experience living in the places I've lived in (paris, seattle, nyc and hong kong!), share my experiences traveling or my memories in general!
Since I love to cook so much, I'd love to cook my hosts a meal, or share about food in general. I think food is such a great topic to talk about (it's everywhere, and it heavily varies throughout the world). When I'm traveling, I think a big portion of my traveling is culinary tourism hahah.

I'd love to learn more about where my hosts come from, their jobs, their views on life...
