Overview
About Me
Ciao! I'm Emiliano Giuseppe, originally from Italy and currently working as a program developer. I love writing code almost as much as I enjoy meeting new people and discovering different cultures. Technology is my daily playground, but I'm also deeply curious about how people live, think, and connect across the world.
I consider myself an open-minded, respectful, and easy-going person. I enjoy good conversations, whether about tech, politics, philosophy, or simply sharing stories over a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine!).
When I'm not coding, you’ll probably find me exploring a new city on foot, learning a new language, or reading something related to psychology or international relations.
I believe Couchsurfing is more than just a place to sleep—it's about sharing experiences and growing together through cultural exchange. I’m always happy to host or be hosted by those who are curious, kind, and adventurous.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to truly understand a place is through the people who live there. Hotels are fine, but they can never offer the kind of connection, exchange, and spontaneity that comes from staying with locals.
As an Italian and a program developer, I spend a lot of time in front of a screen—but I also crave real-world conversations, new perspectives, and human connection. Couchsurfing allows me to break out of my routine and experience the world through different eyes.
Whether I’m hosting or traveling, I love the idea of sharing stories, ideas, food, and laughs. To me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about saving money—it’s about building a global community, one couch at a time.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎵 Music:
My taste is pretty eclectic—I can go from Italian classics like Lucio Dalla and Fabrizio De André to lo-fi beats while I code, and occasionally dive into jazz, indie, or even electronic. I like music that tells a story or helps me focus (or unwind) depending on the mood.
🎬 Movies:
I appreciate films that leave you thinking. I love Italian cinema (Fellini, Sorrentino), psychological thrillers, and documentaries that explore society or human behavior. But I also enjoy a good sci-fi or comedy night with friends. “The Great Beauty,” “Her,” and “Into the Wild” are among my favorites.
📚 Books:
I read across genres—from political philosophy and psychology to novels that dive deep into characters' minds. Some books that left a mark on me: 1984 by George Orwell, The Stranger by Albert Camus, Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, and anything by Italo Calvino.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once traveled solo through a country where I didn’t speak the language at all, relying only on gestures, kindness, and curiosity. What started as a challenge turned into one of the most human, humbling experiences of my life. It reminded me that connection doesn’t always need words—and that sometimes, getting lost is the best way to find something meaningful.
Teach, Learn, Share
👨💻 Teach:
I can teach you some basics (or tricks) of programming, especially if you're curious about how things work behind your favorite apps or websites. I can also help with Italian language, share insights about Italian culture, or discuss topics related to politics, psychology, and international relations—if you're into deep chats!
🌍 Learn:
I love learning about how people live differently around the world—customs, languages, cooking styles, even small daily routines. I’m especially interested in hearing personal stories and learning things that aren’t found in books or online.
🍝 Share:
I’d love to share homemade Italian food (or cook something simple together), have deep or silly conversations, and explore a place through a local’s eyes. I'm happy to share a respectful, curious, and open presence—hopefully leaving both of us a little more inspired than before.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, a respectful presence, and a curious mind. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to teach you some Italian, share tips about programming or tech, or cook a simple Italian meal together. I’m also a good listener, so if you feel like talking about life, culture, or the world—we’re on the same page.
I always try to adapt to the host’s vibe: if you’re social, I’ll be glad to spend time together; if you’re busy, I’ll quietly enjoy the space and be independent. Either way, I’m grateful for the hospitality and always try to leave something positive behind—whether it’s a laugh, a story, or a clean kitchen!
