Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling to British Columbia, and want to make the most of my trip on a limited budget.
I also think the best way to know a place is to get to know locals and share tips and experiences.

Interests

I'm very into learning in general, less in an academic sense than to make out a meaning or way of understanding and interacting with the world.

Aside from serious philosophical stuff, I enjoy pop culture, design, fashion, and searching for a deeper meaning in everyday things like the Kardashians or TV commercials.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a favorite anything.

I think I have a broad taste in music, but lately I've been into Yoko Ono, Lhasa de Sela, Bill Withers and Chaka Khan with Rufus.

In movies I like Bergman, Lynch, Almodovar, Hong Sang-soo, and mostly "independent" cinema.
I like E.E. Cummings, Whitman, Frank O'hara and japanese poetry. I'm trying to get into Foucault.
