ABOUT ME
I'm an easy going person and I like adventure. I like traveling and meeting new people, but I guess if you're on this site then that's a given! I like to laugh and would be equally happy spending a night out on the town or inside playing board games with friends. I think that meeting locals is the best way to get to know a place and really see what its like. Maybe I'll be meeting you soon!
I've done a good bit of traveling throughout the United States. I've crossed the country by plane, train, and automobile, and because of my jobs I have even lived in quite a few different places too. New Zealand is the only place I've been outside of the USA, but soon I'll be going to Scotland and England and then they'll be on my list too.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't go through life with regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Brand new to couchsurfing. I don't have a couch to offer yet, but when I do I will. I'm just testing the couchsurfing waters for now.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Brand new (see above). I've never done it but some friends have had good experiences, hosting and surfing, so I thought I'd give it a try.
Interests
Lots! I work in theater, so that's a main one, but also making things: hats, costumes, spinning wheels, I'm interested in history, rock climbing, going on adventures, going on quiet walks, body surfing at the beach, going to see theater productions,

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Soo many! My big loves are Film noir, all Muppet movies (well, except a couple that were made after they were bought by Disney), and all Charlie Kaufman films, but I like lots of others too.
I'm mostly listening to indie rock these days, but my interests cover a wide spectrum. My current favorites are Wye Oak and So So Modern, and my all time favorite is Led Zeppelin. Others on my ipod are: The Dodos, Belle and Sebastian, Why?, Astronautalis, Ani DiFranco, Bjork, Crystal Castles, St. Vincent, David Byrne, David Bowie, aand, well, hopefully that gives you an idea!
I've started to listen to audio books at work these days and currently on my ipod are: The Bedwetter by Sarah Silverman, The Great Bridge (about the Brooklyn bridge) by David McCullough, Turing's Cathedral by George Dyson, and The Mists of Avalon (I know I know, its corny, but its super long which is good for work, and I have a bit of a soft spot for fantasy.) I think that gives a good idea of my book interests.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once took a train trip around the States and somewhere in Arizona or Nevada our train was stopped on the track in the middle of the desert at night in the middle of a thunderstorm. I couldn't hear anything inside the train, but every once in awhile there would be a flash of lighting that would light up the whole landscape for just a second and I could see everything. It was beautiful.
