I was born in Melbourne but spent most of my teenage years living in Bendigo (a big country town about 2 hours from there). I've spent most of my life working pretty hard. I'm 26 and have already been a doctor for 2 years. But try and keep my life pretty balanced as well. I love keeping active, spending time with my family and friends and getting to know knew people.

Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to travel as a child but when I was 21 I went on my first trip to Europe where I caught the travel bug. Since then I've made sure to go somewhere new at least once a year and have plans to travel a lot more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently enjoying 6 months of unemployment in South America and want to learn about the South American way of life. I've spent a lot of time in hostels but I really want to see where you live and what you do. I'm also trying to learn Spanish and want to learn by speaking with you!

Interests

Just like everyone on here I love traveling and learning about the lives of others.

Learnt to scuba dive in Thailand a few years ago and would love to give it a go again sometime soon.

I'm a bit of a fitness freak... When I'm at home I'd usually hit the gym 6 or 7 times a week and occasionally competed in crossfit competitions. Obviously I haven't been able to keep that up while traveling but do love to visit local crossfit gyms every now and then and also love keeping active by going on hikes etc.

I've never learnt another language before and have always wanted to so now is the perfect opportunity for me to pick one up. I've spent a bit of time studying spanish in Colombia but still need to practice a lot!
