Overview
About Me
Hello. I'm looking to travel, to meet new people, and explore more places. Currently, I'm studying art history and chemistry in California, but I'm looking to make the most of my Summer abroad. I am a considerate, kind and organized person. I enjoy discussing culture, art and comedy from many different perspectives. In between knitting and playing with my dogs at home, I'm always up to try different coffee drinks.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm excited to meet new people and see new places from a local's perspective. I love comparing stories about day to day life around the world. Couchsurfing is a great way to share cultures and conversations.
Interests
Art. I draw and paint, and I love to doodle with other people. I also study art history and love discussing art from different periods, telling the story behind famous works of art, and dissecting how objects were made.
Reading. I love fiction; I could talk about stories for ages.
Running. Being outside for a wandering run.
Coffee. I always enjoy a good cup of black coffee, nice and strong.
Knitting. I've been making my own sweaters and shawls for years now. It's a nice family tradition that I share with my mom and grandmother.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music is rather eclectic: Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Lana del Rey, The Killers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Wax Taylor, Parov Stelar, Nick Drake, The XX, Dawn of Midi, The Kinks, PJ Harvey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Yo Yo Ma, and The Smiths.
Movies: Funny Face, Romantics Anonymous, Manhattan, Annie Hall, Lost in Translation, Pulp Fiction, Amelie, Finding Nemo, The Grand Budapest Hotel
Books: The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Bradbury, The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, and many more...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Although I'm only 5 ft tall, I've climbed atop a ten foot tall elephant-- it helps that he knelt down and I got a running start before leapfrogging over his head.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach knitting, give a quick drawing lesson, or even a tour through an art museum.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I give great tours of art museums, cook vegetables well, and love sketching a quick portrait.
