My name is Emily Echstenkamper. I am currently in my last year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Tarheels!!). I am backpacking Europe for a month after graduation with my two best friends (Amanda Cooksey and Sarah Clarke). I am a religious studies major and am working to be a counselor after graduation. Amanda is an Exercise and Sports Science major with a minor in Spanish for the medical professions and will be applying for Physician Assistant School after we graduate. Sarah has a major in Child and Family Development and is hoping to work with individuals with special needs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are couch surfing because we heard this is super fun to make new friends and memories as you backpack through Europe. We aren't looking for the fancy things, but want to enjoy the moments as they come. Couchsurfing provides a cheap way to do this!! We are all super outgoing and love to build friendships with new people! We are excited for this adventure and would love to hear any wisdom or stories you have to share. We have never been to Europe and as recent college graduates we are looking to travel reasonably!! We would be so grateful for any place to stay, your company, or whatever you are willing to offer.
