I'm a 20-something writer and editor living in Utah and excited to become a world traveler. I live with my husband, Daniel, who is a computer programmer and electrical designer, and our daughter, Abigail, who is a kindergartener, artist, naturalist, and ice skater.

We live in Lindon, which is about 20 minutes from Provo and 40 minutes from Salt Lake City.

I grew up in the Utah County area, so I'm very familiar with what there is to do in Utah. I can even drive people around if my schedule is open since I work from home.

We have two cats, two goats, four chickens, and a couple fish tanks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are seriously considering a RTW trip in a year or two, so we'd like to get our feet wet with couch surfing and build up some cred. We are also excited to hear stories of other travelers who may pass through and learn about you and what you've done.

Interests

I write and edit for a living, so I also love to read. I have a large library of young adult and adult books that travelers are welcome to read.

Daniel is a computer programmer and all around geek. He likes to play RPG games, and we'd be happy to sit down for a game with you.

Abigail is a chatterbox and will not stop talking from the moment you arrive until you leave. She loves animals, nature, dragons, and adventure. She's terrified of large dogs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have ridden in a black hawk helicopter a few times and watched a live-fire apache helicopter mission. I've also climbed to the top of the U.S. Capitol dome and seen the best view in Washington, DC.

Daniel speaks Spanish, and I can speak German in a pinch.

I know how to crochet and knit, and Daniel knows how to program apps.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty decent cook, and Abigail is a conversationalist. If you have kids, Abigail wants to be friends! I know she's my kid, and I'm biased, but Abigail is a good kid. She's incredibly well-behaved, polite, and funny. You'll love her, promise. We can also share in household chores or some of our talents (writing, programming, editing, etc.)
