Hello!
My name is Emily and I am 18 years old, I live in a city in the Middle of England called Nottingham. I have taken a year out before going to university and I am using it to travel the world! I have already been to Iceland, Paris, Rome, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam this year and in July I am going to start travelling around Europe and New York.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part about my trip to Asia was when I stayed and celebrated with the local people (I was even invited to a local's wedding in Cambodia!), I would love to recreate this experience in Europe too!
This would allow me to have a much more fulfilling, enjoyable and exciting trip. I have many stories to share and would love to hear your stories too!
As I am a student I can only travel on a tight budget and couchsurfing would let me do that, as well as meeting amazing people and exploring cities from a local person's point of view- the dream!

Interests

I am very interested in History and am going to study it at The University of Leeds in September.

I have been sailing for 5 years and am currently training to run a half marathon.

I am vegetarian

I am also very interested in fashion and having a boyfriend who is a model has helped me to surround myself in the fashion industry more.

I have started writing poetry in the last three months and competed in poetry slams Nationally as well has performing at this years Glastonbury Festival.

I love travelling (obviously) and have always loved reading and music.
My favourite books are The Catcher in the Rye, The picture of Dorian Gray, The Great Gatsby, The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-time and The Kite Runner.
My favourite musical artists are The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie, FKA Twigs, Grimes, Kanye West and many more.
I also love to read and write poetry and I compete in poetry slams!
