Overview
About Me
I'm saturated with Wander lust. I spent my summer working, hiking, exploring the vast range of Yellowstone. This winter I'm teaching snowboarding to kids in Colorado's own Winter Park Resort. I love animals, the great outdoors, going new places, meeting new people, foreign cultures and foods. In my down time I like to journal and read, watch Netflix and drink a couple beers.
I've explored a good portion of the United States. I want to see more, I can't wait to go to Europe and Africa I want to see Hawaii and India. I don't want to settle down. I'm here to live and experience the good and the bad things and to love, always to love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I created my Couchsurfing account when we got to Colorado. My life partner and I are looking for an apartment throughout the winter. Currently we need a place to crash. It's too cold here to sleep in a tent, or to sleep in the car. We have enough money saved up to move into a new place. We can't afford a hotel room for every night we're waiting.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love all music from classical to gangster rap, from old country to R&B. I'm not so much a fan of radio country or rap. I've recently gotten into folk punk. Wingnut dishwashers, Mountain Goats, Shakey Graves, Blackbird Raum etc.
Movies: I do not like scary movies. I used to love them, but now they freak me out if I find myself in a similar setting as a character I saw brutally chewed up and murdered in a horror movie. I love documentaries, comedies, and action flicks. I also love mind-fucks Lucky Number Slevin is one of my favorites.
Books: I love books, I love reading, I love the texture and smell. Right now Scorpion King and A Half Baked Wonderland and the End of the World are my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left everyone and thing I was familiar with and traveled about 2,000 miles away to live in a dorm in a resort mountain town in Yellowstone.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn Spanish, I speak very broken Spanish at the time. I have a stellar book collection. I'd be willing to trade. Although it's buried under an avalanche of belongings in my trunk. If you're at all musically inclined I have a guitar, two ukuleles and an accordion that you can play with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My winning personality. I'm very good at organizing and deep cleaning. I used to do it for a living.
