In college, I have largely studied issues of education and psychology, but I have always wanted to be a writer. In my last year of college, I worked up the confidence to go for a self-made career in traveling and writing (we'll see how that goes).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am incredibly passionate about travel because it allows you to experience a new place and culture. Meeting new people is one of the best parts of that experience. I love to hang out, cook with others, chat, and explore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oy, this is a hard one. I love a weird mix of things from John Steinbeck, to modern narrative writing, to Jane Austen and back. In terms of music, I'm pretty down with anything that makes me smile or that I can sing along with. In terms of movies, I couldn't really pin down a genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know about amazing, but some of the things I've done that I really loved have included...

Making a 3 hour detour in an 18 hour car ride to see Niagra falls at 12 at night.

Tasting the tea at a tea estate in Darjeeling and then getting snuck into local attractions by a Sherpa who knew his way around back entrances.

Working with kids at a school in the mountains of Sikkim.
