Sobre Mim

Hi! Im a student at the University of Toronto in Architectural Studies. Although architecture school and studio consumes 98% of my free time, I do try my best to squeeze in time to go hiking and bouldering, draw, running, practice the bass and read when I can (right now I'm finished Naked Lunch - a nice break from reality?)! Music is a constant part of my day, and I'm always trying to stumble upon new sounds, artists, and underrated albums.
Toronto is a great city, but after backpacking along the Mediterranean two summers ago the feeling of needing to leave and explore new things has returned, stronger than ever.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I'll be studying abroad in February at the University of Amsterdam, and am expecting to be travelling as much as possible before, during and after the school term! I'm hoping to meet lots of like-minded people as I'll be on my own!
Last time I was travelling me and my friend stumbled upon the BlaBla car app, which both saved our finances and led us to meet amazing people who showed us places we wouldn't have otherwise seen - I am optimistic couch surfing will lead me to similar experiences!

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Movies: anything by Miyazaki or Wes Anderson or the Cohen brothers? Top visuals is definitely the Survivalist, and Phantom Thread has a score that I will forever appreciate.

Music: really a huge range from jazz classics to experimental rap to post-punk to new alt. stuff (if its good) to house... all the way to 80s Japanese funk to good old disco bangers. Please share any of your favourite, most obscure, or questionable music preferences - I love finding new stuff! Music is a slight obsession (concerts are how I decide where and when to travel)

Books: I wish I had more time to read, but currently reading a lot of classic Western philosophy texts (for school and personal interest... lots of Zizek). Love Murakami and last "stand out" book was A Little Life. After the philosophy I have some Dostoevsky waiting for me on my bookshelf.
