Overview
About Me
I am a 23-year-old student currently living in Montreal, though I'm from Tucson, Arizona! I love the cacti and the Sonoran-Mexican food from my home state, but I also love the skiing and winter activities that come along with the snow. My greatest passion when traveling is certainly tasting new foods, but I also love exploring new cultures and languages. I study French Studies at Concordia University with the intent to teach English and French as a second language (to anglophones) after I graduate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going back home to Tucson, AZ in May 2019. I'll be there for three weeks, so I'm looking for a place for me and my boyfriend to stay. We are both students attending school internationally in Canada, so we don't have a lot of money to spend on hotels or AirBnb. We'll be in and out enjoying the weather, mostly just there at night. We are hoping to be pretty active in the night life scene for those three weeks, so also looking to socialize and meet some engaging people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love 2000's rap, like Snoop and Akon. I love the band Queen of course (and love the film Bohemian Rhapsody especially because Rami Malek is my all-time favorite actor). I love Eminem, especially his reaction tracks to other rappers. I will always love Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco.
I really enjoy horror movies, especially along the lines of reality-based dystopian stories (like Get Out and the series Black Mirror). I certainly also love comedic series and stand-up specials (The Office, Parks and Rec, Louis).
Along with my taste in horror movies, I love thriller novels (think anything by Stephen King). I also love classic literature, both in English and French. I also love reading poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met my soulmate (and best friend - who is French!) in my home state of Arizona by chance at a pool party, then moved with him to Paris after dating for only 6 months! It is by far the greatest and most rewarding risk I have ever taken. I have been learning French ever since and even chose it as the focus of my university studies.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have done a fair bit of traveling in the past few years. If anything is clear in life, it's that people are meant to learn and to share their knowledge and time with others. Our planet hosts such an immense wealth of cultures, and we have the chance to experience all of them if we make it our priority! Language is a powerful tool for sharing knowledge and experiencing other cultures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I speak English and French, and would love to share my experiences of living in foreign countries and learning French in an immersive setting. I love to cook, and am always looking for opportunities to share Sonoran-style Mexican recipes with those around me! Let me introduce you to the Tucson, AZ-native "Sonoran hotdog", it will knock your socks off!
