ABOUT ME

My name is Emily Murray, I am an enthusiastic, friendly, easy-going girl from Manchester who is excited to visit as many places as possible!

Right now I’m working for Costa Coffee :))
I did do a foundation year in Fashion Buying and merchandising, however I realised that it was not the right field for me and all I want to do is travel!

SO here I am, saving as much as I can, as quickly as possible to get back on the road!

I am someone who enjoys a good laugh and spending time with people of similar interests. I like to think I can make people smile or on a good day laugh! (Probably doing something silly like falling over)

Oh I also don't take myself too seriously!

I currently live in Manchester just on the outskirts of the city, which I like because I can have some peace and quiet if I choose. However I am also a mere ten min drive from the forever-busy city centre, which always has tonnes to offer.

Overall a lively person who, surprisingly, begins off shy!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can participate by sharing my stories and experience I've gained from my travels and can lend an ear to in turn hear your anecdotes and advice.

Also I think to fully experience and enjoy a country, is to do so by living like a local, meeting locals and experiencing first hand what it is, to live like a local. Taste the counties cuisine, explore its hidden depths. See what the place has to offer other than the bustling streets filled with typical tourist attractions. This is why I chose CS, to do exactly that, live like a local :-)

I can also offer to cook and maybe help around the home with regards to cleaning or walking a dog maybe, in turn for your generous hospitality, or if you are ever in Manchester I can return the favor and show you the beauties of my city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed twice, both amazing and fun experiences, Gent the first which was a lovely few days and Rotterdam the second just as cool!

Musically I am very open-minded and very enthusiastic about all genres but I really love, Reggae, Dub, Drum and Bass, Jungle, some Classical and Acoustic music ...pretty strange combo really!

Movies also I don't tend to watch as much but I enjoy, documents, comedies, horror...

Hitchhiked home from Amsterdam that was a pretty great achievement!

I have a LOT to learn I am very young and love learning through doing and experiences! I am a first time backpacker so everything is new to me but both very exciting!!

I can share my stories from travelling so far (Many of them are from silly things I've done :P)
