Overview
About Me
I am currently on a fellowship teaching English at Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. I grew up in Chicago, IL and Ann Arbor, MI in the US and went to a small college in Ohio.
I enjoy being active, reading, talking about movies and tv shows, sitting on porches and patios, and writing!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music! On repeat lately: Big Thief, King Princess, Frank Ocean, and a playlist I made called "Sweet Sadness" which includes songs by Van Morrison, Whitney, James Taylor, Feist, Mitski, and Joni Mitchell.
Movies: Pride and Prejudice, Arrival, Little Miss Sunshine, Boyhood, Moonlight
It's really hard for me to pick favorite books but Fun Home and Cloud Atlas are two of the best. I also really enjoy short stories by Alice Munro, and have recently been reading a lot more nonfiction by authors like Eula Biss, Jia Tolentino, and Michael Pollen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My college Ultimate Frisbee team, the Preying Manti, won Division III college nationals my senior year!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking and sharing food. I have recently become more interested in crafts of all kinds: I would love to learn watercolor technique, or any other cool craft ideas. I can also teach approximately 5 chords on the ukulele and how to throw a frisbee.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, conversation, Banda Aceh recommendations, motorbike rides to interesting places around town.
