Hello! My name is Emily, but most people call me Em. I am currently a Mathematics teacher in an accelerated high school in Philadelphia, PA. I live about an hour outside the city, but I adventure into the city whenever I can outside of work. I am a very outgoing, caring, and loving person. I also bring a lot of sarcasm to the table! I absolutely LOVE to travel, exploring new places and meeting new people whenever I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently, I am on here because my sister and I are backpacking through Europe this summer. We are planning everything ourselves with a certain budget in mind. It would be great if we could save some money here and there while meeting new people!

Interests

I love running, but I also love to eat! The two usually balance each other out :) but I certainly will never be a size zero, nor do I want to be! I love baking as well and any adventure that comes my way, I take it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm literally into everything from old school Backstreet Boys (I will always love them) to Luke Bryan and Shaina Twain to bands like Trapt and Skillet to anything new on the radio!

Movies: My favorite movies include The Notebook, Behind Enemy Lines, Mean Girls, Don't Say a Word, and Argo.

Books: My favorite series has to be Harry Potter and the Twilight series. My favorite authors include Sarah Dessen, John Grisham, and Nicholas Sparks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While in Jamaica with my family, we got the chance to actually climb UP a waterfall. Your group was organized into a huge line where you are holding hands with someone in front of you and with someone in back of you the entire time you are climbing the waterfall!
