Overview
About Me
I am a college graduate from the United States. I love to travel and believe it enhances one's well-being and overall attitude towards life. To culture oneself is to step outside the comfort zone and expand your mind and character.
I believe in the power of outlook, and attitude is the difference between an adventure and an ordeal. There is a choice in every circumstance. Enjoy the little things, take leaps of faith and exhale in moments of peace. Life is too short to spend it worrying, so trust yourself and learn to let go.It's not failure if you learn from it. Forgiveness is a gift and compassion is a talent that lead to happiness. We all deserve happiness.
To travel and learn the ways of life around the world is the best way to understand our fellow humans, which I believe is the ultimate success towards peace on earth.
The sky never ceases to amaze me and I love the tight feeling in your chest when you're overjoyed. Forever grateful for contagious laughter and unexpected smiles, and I don't underestimate the power of hot coffee.
We all share this life, so let's make it a good one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best and most effective way to learn the culture of an area is to immerse oneself totally into that way of life. Couchsurfing offers an opportunity to not only learn about the kind individuals hosting, but to vicariously learn about the people as a whole through the experiences and knowledge they possess.
In traveling I have found that we as humans are far more similar than we are different, and it's a humbling thought to remember. I love to meet new people and see the similarities we share no matter how far apart we were born or raised.
Humans are cool, and I learn from all those I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music and am very open to many types. I love the classics like Sinatra and Neil Dimond; folk/indie like Shakey Graves and Chet Faker, but electronic/DJ's always get me pumped up. I love to let go and rave to Avicii or Chainsmokers, but some french Zaz and a bubble bath are the way to wind down.
I've adored the books "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "The Great Gatsby."
Every book by Toni Morrison, but particularly "Jazz," is beautiful. Kurt Vonnegut has a talent beyond his time and I think everyone should hear some of his words.
I've learned much about growth from Napolean Hill and Paulo Cuelho.
I enjoy reading books in other languages for a different understanding of it (and language practice), and love good recommendations.
I cannot be unmoved by Anne Frank's diary.
