About Me

Just out here doing what I can to live my best life! Graduated from the Temple University English department with a minor in cognitive neuroscience in 2019--now working at a small screen-printing company in Camden, NJ.

I've traveled and lived in community spaces or the homes of others for a handful of years, and I'm also the youngest of five! I consider myself both a conscientious and considerate human being when it comes to boarding spaces. :) I'm not needy and far from used to the finer things in life when traveling; I'm grateful for whatever space you can give!

Once I get to live in a space where I can host, I 100% plan on giving back to the couch-surfing community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on here to enhance my time traveling by getting the locals' insider information and finding new spaces! I'm always down to meet new people and love to hear stories/life stories of all kinds. I'm an artist at heart and words are my medium, so I love learning and experiencing the world in ways I have yet to experience it. If I'm in for the evening and you are as well, I am a big fan of movies and rarely turn down a good film!

I really enjoy solo travel and I'm pretty independent. While I have loved getting to know all the people I meet via CS, most of my stays are brief. I am happy with little engagement, but I'm also down to chat and share a drink if you'd like! It is important to me that I give back /serve hosts in this way if this is important to them. The logistics of little time is part of this for me, the other is simply social energy; I'm good with people, but I'm also an introvert. When traveling, I obviously freely forfeit the privilege of the kind of privacy that brings me rest. I simply include this note for the hosts who maybe tend towards a similar match, and are less on the active end of spending time with guests.

If that's you, awesome. :) If not, also great! I'll probably get the sense of that by your profile. I know there's little that's more important than communication, so I want to do well by everyone with clear and consistent communication.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. Honestly, if it's big on the radio and /or groovy and good to get down to, I'm game. I don't discriminate against pop music.
A handful of favorite artists and bands include Frank Ocean, Joseph, The Oh Hellos, Florence and the Machine, Chance the Rapper, the Lumineers, Sia, Twenty One Pilots, the Head and the Heart, Lorde, Bleachers, and the Brilliance. I also love bluegrass! Also, the genre is a background consideration if the music is live. Always down for a show.

Movies? I love a good movie. Some go-to's off the top of my head: Garden State, 20th Century Women, Francis Ha, On The Basis of Sex, BlacKkKlansman, Gladiator, About Time, Manchester By the Sea, Shawshank Redemption, Room, Captain Fantastic, every Disney classic ever, and While You Were Sleeping /all 90's RomComs.

Books! The written word and art of language is my lifeblood... a few top favorites and/or recently read: The Course of Love, The Year of Magical Thinking, Bluets, The Knowledge of the Holy, Sex at Dawn, Stay, All The Light We Cannot See, and Dreaming of Ramadi in Detroit.
