I'm 23 and live in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Jasper National Park. I love my job and the national park that I live in. I work during the summertime in Canada and spend my winters being a tourist in other countries and love to learn about other cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommended to try out couch surfing from a friend who is a host and brought me out to my first couch surfing event at the beginning of this year. I met so many cool people at this social and thought the concept was great! I believe that the best way to learn about a country is to live like the locals do and what better way to do that than to have someone who can teach me about their home.

Interests

I love anything to do with the outdoors! Whether it be climbing new mountains, paddling on crystal clear lakes, or camping through multi-day treks, I love it all. I love exploring the nature of new countries and often try my best to explore other countries national parks. I also love a good bite to eat and you can easily find me at the local market or devouring some delicious street food.

I listen to a lot of indie music and like to watch a good comedy movie because I love to laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I got to experience last year was the Holi festival (the festival of colours) in Jaipur, India. I had never been part of such a massive cultural celebration of happiness, dancing, and of course, lots of colours. The moto of this religious holiday is to "live life colourfully" and on that day, everyone sure did! I was invited into a locals house to dance and celebrate and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
