We are a couple from New Zealand, who have been abroad for nearly one year and have made a lot of friends on our travels.

We are quiet and appreciate our own space, especially after a long day of being tourists. We will happily buy the ingredients and cook you dinner if we are able to come to your home before dinner time, otherwise we will eat before we arrive, stay up with you for a cup of tea or glass of wine. We are very kind and generous, and you will be welcome in our home in New Zealand if we get along well.

We sadly had a negative experience from Couch Surfing, however we are wanting to give it a go again as we have been using air bnb and its wonderful for meeting people, just a bit expensive. You can have a look at our reviews on that website if you would like to. We want to stay with people who are open minded, understanding and positive. We will believe that you mean what you say, as we will be honest when we offer you whatever we have to give. We may need to store our leftover lunch in your fridge for the next day, I'm sure you will not want to eat day old sandwiches however if you really want to of course we will share with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After living in Edinburgh for 8 months, we are heading back to New Zealand, but we want to visit Europe first! Trying to do so without going broke, and also getting some local knowledge in the process, and making friends who will come to NZ to visit us :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave French language tours of underground refuges at a Chateau in France, while we were volunteering.

We are happy to teach English, and about New Zealand culture. We would like to learn about daily life in different cultures, and we would love to share food, wine and laughs.

Food! We are happy to cook dinner for our hosts. We want to share funny travelling stories, and offer to host new friends in New Zealand when we return.
