ABOUT ME
When I'm away from home, it's the people I miss more than the place.
My friends (I hope) would say I'm independent but kind.
Experiences and people shape you in this world, and I'm always searching for more.
How do I travel? With all the senses - when a place hits you in the face with its smells, textures and tastes, that's when you know you've found somewhere good. I also can't resist hightailing it to the top of any rickety old structure. I want to discover.
Interests
Walking's great - but so is whiling away hours with coffee and books.
I watch a lot of movies, take a lot of photos and chatter away to anyone who'll chatter back.
At the moment I'm teaching English in Vietnam, but in previous incarnations I have been a baker, a journalist, a charity worker, a glider pilot and a student.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drinking coffee with birds in Kuala Lumpur, mesmerised by the afternoon's sleepy call to prayer.
Feeling infinitely small and connected to the planet at the top of a big old hill.
Getting out of the car on returning home to Norfolk. Blinking as the stars rush forward out of the night sky.
