ABOUT ME

Hi! I am a graduate student at the University of Denver. I am also spending the year apprentice teaching. I grew up traveling and camping quite a bit, and continue to enjoy those pursuits.

PHILOSOPHY

This year I have been participating in Landmark Education's Curriculum for Living, which has opened up a lot of possibilities I would love to discuss with people. Overall, I believe in people. My life goals are shaped around altruistic beliefs. I make the world a better place by using what I'm passionate about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Thus far, I have only surfed and not been able to host. I look forward to returning the favor in the future. I've been to a few meet ups that I really enjoy. On rare occasion, I may be able to pick someone up from the airport or show someone around town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My sister Laura and I couch surfed in the summer of 2012 in Europe. It was an incredible experience! It completely transformed the way we visited the cities. In 2013, my friend Hope and I couch surfed in the US while we moved her from Pennsylvania to Colorado. We had a blast!

Interests

I love to read, watch movies, pretend to cook, camp, run, and travel! I double-majored in Spanish and International Studies, and my masters is in Curriculum & Instruction. I'm interested in Education, Social Entrepreneurship, other countries, civic involvement, and so on...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: today, I am all about Disney and 90s music and epic road trip songs. Movies: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Love Actually, Bridget Jones films. Books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Half the Sky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to watch the sun rise in the desert in Morocco last year. Absolutely gorgeous.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: cooking, languages, surfing. Teach: Spanish, how to make the best spaghetti ever, simple crocheting, and (one day) how to make pallet furniture.
