About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Emily and in September I will be leaving my hometown of Auckland to move to Ireland, with a bit of travel here and there along the way! Through Couchsurfing I'm looking forward to meeting new, likeminded people to share some awesome travel experiences with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I have not yet actually surfed on someone's couch I have enjoyed attending Couchsurfing events in London, New Zealand and Vancouver. I have made lifelong friends through these events and will continue to attend them! I am happy to meet up with Couchsurfers who visit whichever city I am in and show them around and I plan to have my first surfing experience on my next planned trip to Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had great experiences. Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to meet likeminded travelers and experience new cultures and cities.

Teach, Learn, Share

Here is a recipe for ANZAC Biscuits - Super quick, cheap, easy to make and traditional in New Zealand!

Ingredients

1/2 cup Plain Flour
1/3 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Coconut (dessicated)
3/4 cup Rolled Oats
50g Butter
1 Tbsp Golden Syrup
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
2 Tbsp Boiling Water

Directions
Mix together flour, sugar, coconut, and rolled oats.
Melt butter and golden syrup.
Dissolve baking soda in the boiling water and add to butter and golden syrup.
Stir butter mixture into the dry ingredients. Place level tablespoonful of mixture onto cold greased trays. Bake at 180'C for about 15min or until golden.

Makes 20.
This is from the NZ Edmonds Cook book :)
