About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people in my new city and through travels.
ABOUT ME
I'm an American working at a French language school in Annecy as part of my masters program in International Education. This is currently my shortest long term stay in France, as I'll only be interning for 4 months. Previously, I've spent two different school years as a foreign student and English teaching assistant. My hobbies include singing (I'm a choral snob) and dance. As a traveler, I enjoy museums, exploring neighborhoods on foot, and trying local delicacies.
PHILOSOPHY
I grew up in a small town and have spent my early adulthood living and traveling to different places. Studying French has kindled my interest for learning other languages and discovering new cultures, therefore I welcome new opportunities to uproot my life and begin again. I'm collecting adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to meet people in my new city and in the region. I'm also happy to hang out with other travelers and explore together. Unfortunately, I can't host at the moment, but I will reciprocate in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted close friends and have heard nothing but good things about this site. My favorite couch surfers made barbequed chicken for nostalgic Americans in France two years ago. They also did the dishes!
Interests
I grew up playing the piano and singing. In high school and early college, I adored the theater and wanted to be an actress. I still enjoy going to plays. I've dabbled in dance and have taken classes on and off for a few years. I'm currently taking a cabaret jazz class in Annecy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and keeping up with fashion via the internet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My childhood best friend and I spent a day in Cathar territory in southwest France. By the evening we had made the trek to Peyrepertuse, a ruined castle isolated high in the Pyrenees Mountains. That hike was the most surreal experience and I have the photos to prove it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Languages! I have experience teaching English and French. Right now I really want to learn Spanish.
I'll teach you to sing (I'm classically trained).
I've also been known to make dinner for hosts.
