About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore anywhere I can while being strapped in as a university student! Whenever I get the chance I want to experience new places and get away from the campus bubble.
ABOUT ME
I like to explore, see new places, meet new people. Nothing you haven't heard before. I love to write, sing, play guitar, and be barefoot. I haven't done a ton of travelling to date but I have a family full of brothers that love to travel, and that has made me itching to go places!
I love to longboard and skateboard, and use that as a preferred method of transport - weather permitting. I would love to find fun places to cruise around Hamilton and beyond.
Currently I study psychology, and I will be applying to Social Work in the spring, hopefully one day work in a mental health related career. With al that said all I really want to do is live in a surf shack by the beach and live off pineapple.
PHILOSOPHY
I think that the most important thing in life is love and community. I am practically desperate to seek out communities that differ from my own limited experience. I want to live within cultures that see life differently, people that want something more. I think there is a lot of meaning in life, you just have to seek it out. I love to have spiritual conversations with people and I love to learn why they do what they do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will be seeking out friendly homes to crash at, a nice cozy couch perhaps, maybe a squishy futon. My travels will likely remain somewhat near to Ontario as I am a starving student (hence the couch surfing), but I am so excited to begin new adventures to places I have never been.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I am new to the couch surfing community, I have experience crashing with many relatives and friends, and I much prefer that experience over a motel or hotel any day. There is something awesome about opening up your home to another person, allowing them to have rest that is so incredible. I love to build community, and I would love to be able to network with fellow couch surfers around the world.
Interests
I love building things and fixing things. Whether it be a little craft or a big project (totally just bought a drill), I love being able to work with my hands and create something cool.
I don't like sitting, I even have a wicked cool stand-up desk where I sometimes do homework. I like walking around in bare feet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is always a good thing. I can go from folk to indie to rap to reggae, and it all serves a different purpose. I love reading but have a hard time doing so while attending university, but I love to read books on spirituality and personal development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I went on a snowboard/ski trip with my family at Christmas. On our last day there, from the chairlift, I saw a run with no one on it except two people, with powder spraying up behind them. I went to investigate and discovered caution tape roped across one of the runs. It was two feet deep of fresh powder so naturally I limbo-ed under the tape and went down. It was the most incredible thing. Speeding through the fresh powder that no one else had been on. Everytime I fell i landed in a soft pillow of snow. It was wicked cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
Building community is a beautiful thing. I hope through couch surfing I can grow in my ability to foster community both at other people's homes, and eventually once I can offer up my own home.
