I love culture and traveling and journalism. So much journalism. I've recently gotten into databases, drawing and tennis and am trying to write a novel!

I can be kind of quiet, but I promise I'm more extroverted than introverted. I just like listening!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted surfers with my roommate in Little Rock, Ark., and we always tried to show them a good time! I was not a member of Couchsurfing then, but my roommate got me into it. Sadly, I live on my own now and work a lot of nights and weekends and do not host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed once in Memphis, twice in Lafayette, La., once in Austin, Texas, and once in Knoxville, Tenn. Plus, I hosted couchsurfers when I had a roommate. All fun experiences.

I love Alice Munro, music hipsters like, David O' Russell movies, movies where the love interests don't end up together, New Girl, HBO. I'm obsessed with Jason Isbell. Live music refreshes me.

I went to the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, surviving hours of a bus ride during monsoon rains when the bus had leaky windows just to see a man's beautiful tribute to a woman he loved.

Enthusiasm for Cajun food, pizza, beer, art, current events and life.

I'm a pretty chill person, so I'm not much of a clubber. But I love bars, restaurants, feasts, fiestas, sports, outdoors, etc. Pretty much every other thing you might want to do. I'm easy going and up for most anything.

I'm also a night owl and a morning person.
