About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Push my limits, broaden my horizons, stop wasting my time, just live in the moment
ABOUT ME
I'm bored with life in Australia and want to spend my time meeting new people, having experiences i've never had before, throwing myself into different cultures, appreciating all there is to offer in life. i don't want to wake up one day at age 40 and realise i took the opportunities i had for granted! I love being around people with energy, talking, talking, talking but also who are able to be reflective to really appreciate what is around me. I hate being bored and love to spend time with people who are spontaneous! A good night out at the pub, or even home with a bottle of wine (or a few) is always an awesome idea as far as i'm concerned! I love anything that's not in the norm and try to shock people out of their habits whenever possible. I'm up for most suggestions, as long as we're having fun then I'm definitely keen to give it a go
PHILOSOPHY
Act now, think later. Seize every opportunity and don't waste any freaking time worrying about the consequences.
If it wasn't hard, it wouldn't be worth it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1.
lying on a blanket in the middle of a field at 2am. everything around me is green. mountains are surrounding me. the moon is huge and i can see the southern cross and the 'three sisters' (the two most common star constellations) high in the sky. the air is chilly and makes the tip of my nose pink. i am a only 40min outside of my home town of the Gold Coast, but feel as though I am the only person on this earth. The size of Australia will never cease to amaze me :)
2.
i lie back and stretch my arms above my head. the sun is hot and strong on my skin and if it weren't for the wind cooling me down, i would be sweating hard core. my eyes are shut and i can hear the crash of waves, one after the other, continuous and it relaxes me. i open my eyes and try to stare up at the sun, so bright it blinds me. there are life guards to my left with their red and yellow flags, keeping watch of all the swimmers in the surf. sharks are a rarity- the tides of the ocean are far more dangerous. the sand on the beach is beautiful, white and runs through my fingers, sticking to my skin which is still wet from my last dip in the ocean. there is no comparison to the beauty of an Australian beach.
3.
it's summer, but the wind is freezing, and the light spit of the rain is like ice against my skin. i pull my jumper closer, but my feeble Australian clothing does nothing to protect me against the Polish weather. Walking away from my group of fellow travellers, I follow the train tracks that were once used so often, but now lie rusted. Abruptly the tracks stop and i realise this is the end of the line. staring around, i see building after building, now empty, some used to house the Jewish while others were built to create mass murder; the crematoriums. i take a moment and realisation sinks in; this track was not just the end of the line, but for many, the end of life. Auschwitz is definitely confronting.
