I am a 22 year old college student at UCSB studying Literature, Economics and Sociology. I love reading, creative writing, the outdoors, meeting new people, traveling, and good conversation. I am passionate about addressing climate change and hoping to get a career that involves sustainable development in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used couch surfing once in Brussels with an amazing experience and have hosted a few people since I have returned. My experience has been all positive.

Intereses

I am a writer that loves the outdoors, backpacking and traveling.

In my writing I mostly do creative non-fiction, predominately poetry.

Favorite book of all time is Beloved by Toni Morrison. Also love A Moveable Feast and The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway, As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner, King Lear is my favorite Shakespeare play, the list goes on.

Favorite Poet is Joe Bolton.

I like almost all music, while I am not musical myself, music has been very significant in my life, but I have found that since entering college I have lost the time I used to dedicate to discovering new music so I love when other people can show me something new! Favorite artists as of right now are: Modest Mouse, Bonobo, Glass Animals, Chet Faker, Emancipator, ODESZA, Alt-J, Vance Joy, Postal Service, Flume, always a fan of the classics, and always changing!

Movies: The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, A Most Wanted Man, Elf, Curious George, There Will Be Blood, American History X.....

Outside of the USA I've traveled to many parts of England, Amsterdam, Den Bosch, Prague, Rome, Brussels, and Paris.

Within California my favorite places to visit are Yosemite and Big Sur. This summer I did a week backpacking trip in Yosemite which we ended by doing a sunrise Half Dome hike, which was one of the most memorable experiences I have had.
