ABOUT ME

well i grew up in eau claire wisconsin and liked it for the most part. during high school i worked at a summer camp which has pretty much made me who i am. i loved being outside, working with kids, and playing with all the fun things camp had to offer. i moved up to duluth in 2005 and proceeded to make the best friends anyone could ask for. in duluth i primarily go to work or hang out with my friends. hanging out with my friends includes going to the beach, constructing driftwood forts miles away from civilization (kind of) and drinking good beer (most of the time). i enjoy going on hikes and discovering minnesota because i think its a very modest state and refuses to let others know how beautiful and fun it can be. thats it, thats my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i participate because when i couch surfed in stockholm and in copenhagen it really made my trip all that much better. it was really great staying with people who want to help other people and it gave a different perspective on how others live. i liked meeting with the people and talking to them and it was a lot of fun. although i know that vistors in northern minnesota may be few, i want to be able to be as accomodating and welcoming as those who housed me in my past experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i had never done anything like couchsurfing until i met up with my friend, who had been studying abroad in sweden, and we stayed at a few places in demark and in sweden. both places i stayed were very welcoming and showed us a very good time. had we just stayed at a hostel or hotel, i believe our time there would have been a lot different. in both situations the people we were staying with hung out with us and showed us a good time in their city.

im interested in interesting things. i like to be outside and with my friends, i like to pretend i can play the guitar. i like live music and going out with good people. i have fun.
