About Me

Hello, I'm Em!

(OK first up - I have NO IDEA why it says I have a 0% response rate up there! I promise I respond whenever I can and I've hosted many times, please don't be put off messaging me, I WILL respond. Glitch maybe? Not sure...)

So, about me... I'm a pretty laid back sort of mammal, I like fun times and adventures, laughing and being a bit goofy, taking up more than my fair share of space on the bus, cycling, surfing, radio 4, spontaneous improvised frisbee marathons, and cheese-based snacks. What else? There's a ping pong table in my house; I think it might be my proudest achievement as an adult. If you're heading to Bristol and fancy a beer or a bed, then hit me up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

UPDATE: Currently moving house! Will be back to hosting soon I hope, watch this space :)

I've surfed with some awesome folks in New York last year and it was a great experience, and I've hosted a few times in Bristol for some equally lovely folks. I haven't yet murdered anyone, not ONE, and will try and keep that record as long as possible. I'm also up for schmoozing, hanging out, and showing you the sights of Bristol if you're in town and at a loss. You can help me bury the bodies. I MEAN DISCUSS FASCINATING LOCAL HISTORY.

Interests

Exploring new places, meeting new people, music and gigs, speech-radio and spoken-word generally, being a bit thrifty, cutting up my clothes and making them into better, weirder clothes, comedy, FOOD FOOD FOOD!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, plenty. Do I really have to list them here? Last book I read was The Leviathan, a non-fiction about Whales. Whales kick some serious ocean ass. Before that I was nostalgically re-reading Gullivers Travels, now I've just started The Good American. The last movie I saw was Synecdoche...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snow-boarded down a massive sand dune in Morocco.
