关于我
CURRENT MISSION
I can't have a faveorite place until I have seen them all, right?
ABOUT ME
I am a Registered nurse, a PhD student, a lover of travel, new people, vegetables, indulgences, music, vino, laughter. I think I might have professional ADD because I have worked for a special education company doing pediatric assessments in all different charter schools in Los Angeles Unified School District. in summer camps, acute care hospitals, a clinic in the Dominican Republic and most recently a health center in Uganda.
I work to travel and travel to learn and pick my next job I think. The past three years I have spent 3 months each in Uganda working in a rural center. Just moved to SF from LA for grad school and a new life-
I am a relaxed traveler, independent, easy going, love to laugh, dance, explore, vegetables, listen to live music, lovelove to sing, read, talk things over.
PHILOSOPHY
Every day is a new day. Impacted by yesterday, but not dependent. And life goes on.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am trying to master the transition between traveling and being at home- but actually am pretty excited I can't, because it means I keep trying. I am excited to live in SF, I want to be involved with the CS community in my own place for once!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing but great experiences so far- Looking forward to going to some of the SF events and meeting like minded people around SF.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
My second family is in Pallisa, Uganda. There my name is Namurocho. I am a musow (health worker). There I am worth 500 cows in dowry.(I wish) I learn more of the local Bantu language everytime I go. I wear local dresses and cause a stir. I live without electricity and water and manage to catch intestinalworms always. I spend day and night at the health center. To learn. To teach. And then I come home to L.A. and try to make sense of the disparity. A challenge.
Other glories?
Comparing the wail of a Parisian ambulance to one from LA.
Teaching teethbrushing in Guatemala. All smiles.
Watching a storm across a valley from a hill in Nicaragua, outside Managua.
Learning what Reggaeton is, on the dancefloor.
Having a prayer sung for me, by a Uganda village.
Attending circumcision rituals/celebrations.
A karaoke bar, a Guinness, and some fine Irish lads.
Drinking a beer in the German metro, lame I know. But it felt so badass at the time-
CS meetings in Budapest, and the gyros after.
Hitchiking in Croatia, and having the car bottom out...
Learning to carry a satchel of corn on my head. for 2 miles.
Avoiding stepping on bluebottle jellyfish on Whale beach, Australia.
