I grew up in the UK on a small sheep farm in the South West, went to University in Bristol to study Animal Behaviour & Welfare, spent a year travelling Australia working as a horse groom and later a book seller, seeing all the main sites and having the time of my life. I now have an office job in a small company in South West England (Exeter), which doesn't sound too exciting but I really enjoy it- and best of all, I get my weekends free for sightseeing!

Although I would really love to do some extended travels again one day, for now I intend to focus on short trips round the UK and Europe as often as I can, but do proper travelling and not just holidaying!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stayed with an amazing host when I was in Australia and I love the couch surfing philosophy of helping out fellow travellers. I'm hoping to use couch surfing as a great way for me to see more of the UK and Europe getting immersed with the locals! I fully intend to host people when I have space for them in the future!

I make an effort to get involved in things, and want to experience whatever I can. I do not use hosts simply as free accommodation, and although I am more than happy to have some time alone I would like to be taken to some of your favourite local places and hope to make some new friends.

Interests

Almost anything! I'm very social and love meeting people and chatting about almost anything. I like outdoor things such as walking, horse riding, cycling and beach activities. Indoor things such as crafts, cooking and yoga. I'm always looking for new hobbies!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a rom com! I'm happy to watch anything really though, you don't know if you'll like it unless you see it!
Books wise I love Ben Elton's satirical novels, chick lit and some classics but again I will give anything a go.
I'm very into my music, and have recently joined a community folk choir. Taste wise my choices are very varied, from teen pop, to vintage rock to musicals! I like it all! Current obsession is Tom Odell and had a great time seeing him (for the third time) at a festival this year

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the unspoilt part of the Great Barrier Reef, the colours were sensational.

I can cook and bake some things if you want something rustled up. I can also share my brilliant music taste and the excellent TV show, Miranda!
