About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience as much of Europe as I can while living in Spain
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Madison, WI. I studied abroad in Granada, Spain in the fall of 2009 and decided I would be back. I graduated from college in 2011 and worked for a year to save up before moving to Spain. I'm now a teacher at a bilingual primary school and I really enjoy it. I never thought being a teacher would interest me but it looks like things have changed! I still have no idea what I want to do with my life but I'm okay with that. I plan on going home this summer but I will be back (in Granada?) in September for another year of teaching!
PHILOSOPHY
Take things slowly. I'm almost 24 years old and I'm in no rush to figure out what I want from life. I'm interested in doing things that make me happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never used couch surfing but I am excited to start!
Interests
I have an eclectic mix of interests that include knitting, drinking beer, scrapbooking, hunting, reading, fishing, laughing and eating. I have never been very good at sports but I like to swim and I love watching American football. I'm always up for a puzzle or board game.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love action movies, documentaries, and disney movies. Some favorites include: Green Zone, Star Wars, The Matrix, Layer Cake, Lawless, Gladiator, Religulous, Freakonomics, Food, Inc., Up, Despicable Me, and How to Train Your Dragon. I also like any movie with Jim Carrey.
One of the best parts of meeting new people is discovering new music. Some of my favorite artists are: Tom Petty, Eminem, CCR, Brother Ali, Ciara, Death Cab for Cutie, Wisin & Yandel, Radiohead, Ray Charles, Murs, Frank Sinatra, Atmosphere, etc.
Books: Kite Runner, The Help, Harry Potter, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Like any traveller I have some crazy stories, but for me to be living in Spain seems pretty amazing everyday.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I'm an English teacher so I can teach you English! Sometimes I forget when I'm not at school and correct people who aren't native English speakers- a bit rude and embarrassing but I'm working on it. I would say I'm a pretty patient teacher overall and I have a random assortment of skills. I can teach you how to knit! I would love to learn how to crochet.
