About Me
Hey! I'm a 23-year-old Swedish-Bosnian guy currently living in Latvia! I'm a 5th-year medical student whose life-goal is to have experienced the world. My passion for traveling, whenever possible, is what led me to choose to study abroad. With all the amazing international people I have met, and all the experiences I have shared with these - my passion for traveling has grown even steadier.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I discovered Couchsurfing after I moved abroad to Latvia for my medical studies. Here, the international community of students are incredibly keen of traveling and experiencing the world. The same community introduced me to Couchsurfing. Immediately, I was amazed by the concept. In what better way could you possibly indulge in cultures, languages, local customs, and traditions other than staying with a local?!

Music, Movies, and Books
As much as I would wish to answer something other than "I like most music", I realize that I cannot. My taste in music ranges all the way from pop music to techno. I also enjoy tropical house- and country music. While I would describe myself as a generally organized person, my Spotify playlists beg to differ. One song is popular music, the next one may be folksongs which are then followed by music of any genre in languages I could only dream of understanding.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Deciding to go for a biking tour in the alps the following day with my best friend. The true fun lays in the fact that we were highly inexperienced and unprepared. Obviously, the fun always is in whatever goes not according to plan 😅
During Covid, our University went online and the city I lived in went into a strict lockdown for 2 months. My friend and I managed to find happiness again when we spontaneously booked flights to Turkey, where we stayed for a little less than 2 months. This happened to be one of my most cherished trips, which brings me happiness only thinking about it.
Teach, Learn, Share
While there are certain areas I could teach in, such as cultural, linguistical, and medical - I enjoy learning the most. The world is full of roughly 10 billion individuals with so many similarities, yet even more differences. These differences is what amazes me, and I believe there is so much to be learnt by every single person you interact with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Of all things I could share, I think my Kladdkaka takes the price. This chocolatey, gooey, and delicious cake is my go-to for a "fika" - sitting down in the green grass, grabbing a coffee and Kladdkaka, talking and simply being in the present with each other. I enjoy learning about other people and hearing about their life and previous experiences, visions, hopes, and dreams.
