About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to go to the store to buy some groceries, but its raining now so I'll wait a bit...

ABOUT ME

.i coi mi’e .emir.alu,an .i fi’i ro do

I’m currently living in Stockholm, Sweden. I spend my life doing the things I like, mainly learning new things.

I’m studying sociology, psychology and law in a kind of special mixture that probably only exists in Sweden and a few other nordic countries. The goal of the education programme is to work in the welfare system.

Before that I studied vehicle engineering at KTH and music at two different music conservatories.

I’ve also studied courses in geology and astronomy (with focus on extragalactic astronomy and cosmology).

I'm a skeptic and a humanist, I try to be somewhat active. I'm also a board member in the Viola da Gamba society of Sweden, where I mainly work as a Webmaster and informator.

I’m a semi-active member of Stockholm Makerspace. If you don’t know what makerspaces are, I suggest that you google it. It would be impossible to give a just explanation with a TL;DR.

Things I currently like to do:
Learn languages, mainly Italian and German.
Play and practice cello.
Knitting (you can find me on ravelry, username is ldcn).
Wearable electronics.

I'm a vegetarian when eating out and vegan at home. I'm also neurodiverse, something I hold with pride. You will most likely not notice it, but lets just say, even if I don't smile and/or laugh at your jokes, if I say that they were funny, I really really mean it. Trust me. ;) We might not be good non-verbal communicators, but since we also suck at sarcasm, it evens out. :D

PHILOSOPHY

What is your personal philosophy? Why do you live your life? Feelings? Thoughts?

There are as many ways to interpret these questions (and their potential answers) as there are thoughts in the minds of every sentient creature who has ever lived. Apart from interpretation, a personal philosophy is relative to other variables.

I'll leave these questions unanswered. :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I can't host, my apartment is a 20sqm studio. If i ever move to a bigger place (might still be a studio though), that might change. So for now Ill be surfing and I could meet up for some verbal exchange over a beverage. Oh, non-alcoholic for me thanks. ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have little couchsurfing experience right now, but that will change soon. I've yet to host anyone, but as of Apr 2013 I've surfed two homes belonging to very kind and wonderful people. The fun about surfing is that you get to meet new people, and get to better know people you already know.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really watch movies that much, but there are a few I like.

I enjoy european music from the 15th century. I also enjoy contemporary and non-contemporary music played with the standard instruments used in a symphony orchestra. I also enjoy some electronic music.

I like to read fiction, and I have a few favorite authors. Iain Banks is my absolute favorite. Other favorites are Ursula K. LeGuin, William Gibson, Haruki Murakami.

I also like to read non-fiction, but that depends more on the subject than the author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done anything that I consider amazing yet. I'll write it down here when I have.

I've seen parts of the observable universe through a telescope. I consider this amazing, but probably not due to the visual properties.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Swedish, maths, baking sourdough bread, programming, how to do the charleston, and some other things.

I'd like to learn languages, advanced knitting and crocheting techniques, and some other things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Poland, Slovakia, Syrian Arab Republic, United Kingdom
