my name is emir ( pronounced like the femur bone) :)

about me: i love to bake and cook and go to the shuk and the lovely life that tel aviv avails to you. i have a big sweet tooth, love classical music (play piano here almost daily) and swim in the early morning hours when the feeling strikes me.
i work in clinical and translational research, as a current lab manager working remotely for a laboratory based in Philadelphia, PA. I have worked in gene therapy/genetics and in neuroscience settings. I hope we can connect and have nice conversations and dinners that i will readily cook for you!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

i am visiting tel aviv for the second time this summer with plans to return permanently in october to find work and create a life here. before i leave i have 10 days that i need to fill with couches to be hopped on and so if we are compatible this could be fun!!!

favorite music is a difficult topic, it is more of a broad subject and love really:
classical piano (brahms, glenn gould, schumann, chopin, bach bach bach bach, couperin, beethoven string quartets, rachmaninov...etc)

& other: david bowie, the strokes, beyonce, belle and sebastian, radiohead, judee sill, karen dalton, nina simone (not necessarily in that order) and many others

books! oh gee: anna karenina (of course), fear of flying by erica jong, love in the time of cholera (ive only read a third of it so far but i already know it will be a favorite) ohhh Rilke: letters on cezanne, letters to a young poet, J.D. Salinger, poets like cummings, frost, mary oliver.... rilke, i didnt mention nabokov but, nabokov.
