ABOUT ME

Traveled extensively but that was many years ago. Often busy working two jobs, so don't get out as much as I'd like. Trying to change that! I don't like being talked at, but I love a good conversation.
When you live in another country during the "formative years," you see your own country through the eyes of others. I'm what's called a Third Country Kid. Look it up.

PHILOSOPHY

Send good energy out into the world and it will come back to you. Send bad energy out and it will, too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Had a wonderful experience surfing on 3 couches in one week, and then, two years later, stayed with a family for 5 days.. Hosts were varied and all outstanding. Can't wait to do it again. Have also hosted, and every experience has been enjoyable and enlightening.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As an expat we were always hosting friends of friends on our sofas and in our spare rooms...and that was before the internet. We just didn't know to call it couchsurfing, but that's how Americans saw Europe in the 70s.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many different SCUBA experiences! Seeing a lion walk under a tree with a leopard in it. Being charged by an elephant. Seeing a lion kill as it happened.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's see, I can edit an English paper, I can coach a robotics team, I can raise a boy, and I am a great second in command in any organization. Career in marketing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Keep in mind that Lilburn is pretty far from Atlanta and its nightlife. This is the suburbs. Stone Mountain Park is nearby. You might get your own bedroom and bathroom; you might get a sofa or a sofabed and share a bathroom. All depends. MUST LOVE DOGS. Got 2 very friendly ones.
