About Me

CURRENT MISSION

living life

ABOUT ME

Just finished up a masters degree in Library Science in Madison Wisconsin while living in a housing co-op on the lake with a bunch of amazing people. My boyfriend and I are exploring Europe this summer, currently WWOOFing on a farm in Germany.

PHILOSOPHY

Right now I'm living my life to try new things and challenge myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've only surfed, but I'm looking forward to having a couch to share when I get back to the States.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about couchsurfing when a friend hosted a couple of cool Germans and we all had a fun night hanging out together. Since then I've only couchsurfed once, but it was a great experience. I'm looking forward to meeting more awesome people through couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: all sorts...my favorite stuff right now is that folksy-country-indie kind of stuff that usually involves a banjo and a twangy voice (Old Crow Medicine Show, Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, Wood Brothers, etc.), although I'm also quite fond of it's pop-ier cousin a la The Lumineers, Pearl and the Beard, etc.

Also anything I can sing along to.

Books: anything well written and well researched with an entertaining story

Currently influenced a lot by Barbara Kingsolver's Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and by John Green.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on an archaeological field school in South Africa, digging in an amazing, ancient paleoarchaeological site. I didn't find any hominid bones, but learned a lot!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you why libraries aren't boring or disappearing. Hopefully I remember enough from college to hold an intelligent conversation about human evolution.

I'm endlessly fascinated by the language, history and culture of a new place. I'm always up for learning random trivia.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
