Hi! I'm Emma. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and I go to school in Brooklyn, NY. But I am now on my study abroad in Kalmar, Sweden and looking to explore a bit of Europe.

I'm into all things creative-- my main hobbies include designing, writing, illustrating, animating, and video editing. My work is mostly inspired by my experiences, feelings and cultural observations. I am currently trying to start an illustrated book project about travel and the people I've met along the way.

Other than design, I am hoping to get mores skills and expertise in musical activities such as singing, dancing, drumming and music production.

When I'm not trying to create something, I enjoy cooking and biking. I love discovering new places, especially cultural hubs. I love novelty and going on adventures, but also I am kind of introverted. Don't really know how it works but it just does!

I'm new to couchsurfing but it seems like a really cool idea! I enjoy the "people" aspect of travelling. I like the random encounters and there's much to learn from the people you meet on random trips.

I listen to a lot of Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, and Soul. My favourite singers are Jasmine Sullivan, Jojo, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Musiq Soulchild. Yes I love a good vocalist.

My favourite movies are The Sound of Music and Annie the Musical. My favourite book is The Diary of Anne Frank haha don't judge me
