Overview
About Me
Hei! I’m Emma, a Norwegian contemporary circus artist and climate activist, sailing and travelling around the world with the project Currents from 2024 to 2028 (@currents4climate on Instagram)
I love dancing, contemporary art, the colour yellow, laying around in a pile with my friends, traveling by impulse, plant based food, coffee, grumpy cats, conversations that change my point of view, and the addiction of a good book.
I normally live on a sailboat with 2-4 other people, all of us sharing one room, so I'm used to sharing spaces and community living. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I think it is great that people should have the possibility to travel, meet new people, see new places etc without money having to be a big issue.
I used to host because I grew up in a home where our doors would always be open, and I wanted to continue that tradition.

Favorite book: Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, for fiction, I really enjoy Murakami and Erlend Loe
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm doing it right now;) Travelling around the world by sailboat and hitchhiking.
But some things previously:
- I toured Northern Europe twice with a performance on a huge sail ship from 1935 with my performing arts' company Acting for Climate, through sun and rain and wind and silence
- Directed a circus performance with a full symphony orchestra
- I am a comic book character in a Latvian comic book which won an annual design award, where I pop out of the comic with AR videos
Teach, Learn, Share
