My name's Emma and I'm 26 years old. I grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and went to the University of Nottingham to study French, Spanish and Russian. During my year abroad I worked for at the Santiago de Compostela Tourism office, studied Russian in Yaroslavl for three months and worked for Air France in Paris for 6 months. After I graduated, I moved to Moscow to train to be a teacher, which is what I've been doing for the last 5 years. I now live in Yaroslavl, Russia with my husband Anton and our two cats Bugsy and Fistashka (Peanut.) I teach English to adults and children during the academic year and during the summer, I teach children Spanish at summer camps. My hobbies are running, yoga, CrossFit, swimming, cycling and dancing. I played the flute in my church's music group while I was at university and I love performing in any way shape or form. I'm very friendly, organized, neat and tidy and I keep myself to myself so I won't bother you. I look forward to meeting you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From April 23rd-May 20th 2017, I'll be in my birth city of Edinburgh completing my intensive 4 week CELTA course. CELTA is a qualification for English teachers. I have completed an intensive 4 weeks TEFL course and now I need CELTA because I'm hoping to return to the UK with my husband and cats to work and live permanently. It would make my life much easier if I didn't have to worry about the cost of a room.
