I'm an adventure-seeking, 28 year old Aussie lass. I love nothing more than meeting new people as I travel, and feeling like a local in any city. I like to cook, talk, laugh and run, and try new things (particularly weird foods!). I'm friendly and out going, I like a beer here and there but not too many!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling around the US for 3mths, and I'm keen to meet awesome people. I like to cook but cooking for one is so dull, so I hope my host wouldn't mind me contributing to dinner once in a while! I also love getting local advice about the things to see and do in the city I'm visiting.

Interests

Running - it's a really neat way to get a feel for the neighbourhood.
Cooking - there's nothing more satisfying than sharing the enjoyment of the fruits of my labour!
Bars/nightlife - I like a jazzy cocktail from time to time, and I really love craft beer.
Sports - my favourites are field hockey, soccer and basketball, but I'll watch anything!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music, anything that makes me feel like dancing is a winner in my book.
I tend to go for chick flicks, mostly because I like movies that don't make me think too much!
I like a variety of books, usually the best ones are recommendations from friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got dressed up and wore a kimono around for a day in Japan. I have never felt like more of a foreigner!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be happy to teach people a thing or two about Australian culture (although us Aussies love to spin a yarn so don't always take our word for it!). I would love to practice my (terrrible) Spanish skills with someone, and am always up for sharing a few laughs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, and I'm quite happy to pull my own weight with a bit of cleaning or helping around the house. I'd be pretty keen to go for a run or bike ride with you if that's your thing too! I'm also good at walking dogs :)
