ABOUT ME

Originally from England, I lived in the USA for 10 years (California, and Colorado). I then traveled around Europe. I have lived on a sailing Catamaran for the last 3 years (Mallorca, Spain / the Mediterranean), although that stage is coming to an end, and my boyfriend and I are looking to get a camper van. I enjoy outdoors activities such as hiking, kayaking, snorkelling, rock climbing. I like to experience new things, and love spontaneous adventures (listening to water flowing under ice, midnight strolls, running in the rain). I have lived in a few different countries (Japan, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, USA, Spain).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Attending meet-ups, group events (camping trips etc) Tent surf in 2010. In Colorado I lived with a city CS Ambassador and have many friends in the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had only positive experiences. I have hosted numerous times (over 40), and have had great experiences. I have couchsurfed 3 times, and am still in contact with my hosts after many years. This year I met up with my host in Santiago de Compostela who hosted me at the end of my Camino, 8 years ago!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with wild dolphins, kayaked and camped through the Ionian islands, walked the Camino de Santiago, seen the milkyway, watched the sunrise from Matchu Pichu, hiked under a full moon to a natural hotspring, climbed to the top of a douglas fir, worked as a white water raft guide in Costa Rica and Italy, experienced a Japanese tea ceremony.
