ABOUT ME

I am a British student of Literature usually based in Glasgow, Scotland but currently spending the year in Albany, New York on exchange and am taking every chance I get to travel in America whilst I am here. Already I have been to New York City, Washington D.C, Montreal, Boston and New Orleans.
I grew up travelling with my family and love to discover new places and new cultures. A good book and good music are my biggest comforts, I love to make new friends from all over and hearing peoples stories. As an aspiring writer, I value and learn from all my experiences travelling.

For now I can only surf as I do not have anywhere to host guests. hopefully this will change one day!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only good experiences! I've been surfing in three different states in the US and it's always been great. Unfortunately I can't host in return yet as I was living in a dorm and now all I'm doing is travelling and don't have a base, but when I do I'd love to start returning the favours.

Music, Movies, and Books

F. Scott Fitzgerald is my favourite author. I sometimes wish I'd been born in the American Jazz age. Listing other authors I love would never end.
Of Monsters and Men, Belle and Sebastian, Alabama Shakes, The XX, Mumford and Sons, Vampire Weekend are among my favourite bands, as well as Frank Turner, Freelance Whales, Florence and the Machine, Fleetwood Mac, First Aid Kit, Foster the People, French Wives. I have a theory that almost all bands beginning with 'F' are going to be good.
Drive, Little Miss Sunshine, Moulin Rouge, Donnie Darko are just some of my eclectic movie favourites

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending time on an Elephant sanctuary in South Africa, witnessing the 2013 presidential inauguration and every moment spent writing and working at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival two years in a row.

I love to cook and bake. Give me a kitchen and a couple of hours and I will happily make dinner and dessert for any number of people
