To me, Couchsurfing is a fabulous way to experience other people's everyday lives and see a place through their eyes, instead of through a tourist guidebook. It's a way to meet people of diverse interests, culture and ways of being.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have travelled through Southern Africa on 20 different types of public transport - the back of a bicycle taxi, a dhow, over-crowded mini-bus, hiking boots, train, mokoro...the list goes on!

I am a good listener - always keen to learn something new! I can share my ideas about living well, social movements, and diverse economies. I am also quite good at teaching English. I would love to share some South African food with my hosts, and learn to cook some of their favourite foods too. I can also share conversation and a couch to stay in South Africa!
I would love to learn how to whistle. It's a basic life skill, and I can't do it!
