Hey! I'm 22 and currently working and living in New York City. I fell in love with traveling my very first trip abroad to Greece and Italy when I was younger and ever since I've been finding every way possible to explore the world. I currently work at a global nonprofit that invests in young social entrepreneurs and I love anything adventurous, nerdy, musical, and artsy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part of traveling is the people you meet. I believe the fundamental difference between a tourist and a traveler is that travelers are willing and eager to immerse themselves in local culture and languages. I remember being welcomed into a Karen village on the northern border of Thailand and offered refuge from the hot sun in an elderly lady's hut. Though we could not communicate with one another we forged a beautiful bond that reminded me how similar we all are. (If that sounded a tad bit too dramatic for you, don't worry! I'm chill, easygoing and just like to have fun!) Plus, my side hustle is photography so in return for providing a roof over my head and cultural immersion I could take some great photos of you! I also love playing music! I can pick a tune on almost anything with strings and love to meet other musicians.

Interests

Favorite Music: The Lumineers and Chance the Rapper are my top favorite artists but I love anything from Folk to Jazz to Rap!

Movies: Inglorious Bastards, Call Me By Your Name, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked with an environmental conservation organization in northern Thailand where I got to befriend our elephants and improve my Thai.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am actively interested in improving my French, but also interested in learning the local language of wherever I may be visiting! I can teach a bit of guitar and photography as well. I'd love to learn the "off the beaten path" places in your city/village and get to know the spirit of the place.
