ABOUT ME

New in Toronto ! I am there for a year to study political science at UoT. I gratuated in philosophy a year ago and spent last year in a jazz school in Belgium. Very easy-going and laid-back, I love to travel and wouldn't imagine living my life always staying at the same place; I'm just curious about anything and love to learn new things and people. I'm really respectful for the place others host me in. I like going out and having fun but I also enjoy quiet and intimate environments(guitar, fire & friends; or just watching a movie together) and chilling vibes. I am a vegetarian and almost vegan (but I certainly will eat pastries with you ;) )

PHILOSOPHY

Antispecist & antisexist, and very open to discussion. Openness is for me a value, as well as the "vivre ensemble". Tolerance for every kind of belief and philosophy is primordial. This apart, I want to live to the fullest and enjoy every moment with people I meet !

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I only surf for the moment, since I live in a student accomodation which doesn't make it possible to host people. And during summer I'm at my parent's house. But I'll be very happy to meet anyone who's in town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's my only first time here, and since I've only heard positive feedbacks, I'm willing to experience it.

兴趣

I love music. I listen to all genres, especially jazz, hip-hop, trip-hop and electro these days. I play several instruments (piano, guitar, bass, flute..) and you will surely meet me traveling with my guitar. I also love theater and I've played in several student plays. I like having debates and talking about world problems or other problematics. I like photography even though I'm just a beginner at this; I also like to cook, play games, watch good movies (I like them weird and offbeat), read good books, and have lately developed an interest for psychology and social dynamics. I also like to be in the nature, I find it very ressourcing. I like martial art, but have only had the chance to practice a few months of Tae Kwon Do so far (still gained my yellow belt, yay!). As a philosophy student, I like everything in human sciences: sociology, politics, economy, ...

音乐、电影和书籍

Movies: love weird movies. Tim burton, Wes Anderson, Spike Jonze, Danish movies, ... I can appreciate hollywood movies when they're good, but I also like watching more underground stuff. Also like to watch the classics.
Music: Everything from french music(Serge Gainsbourg, Noir Désir, Camille, Bashung, Souchon...) to rock (ACDC, Pink Floyd, many more; rock prog, every band with a really good guitarist), jazz (soft stuff but also real straight-ahead, fusion, acid jazz, funk, jazz rock), classical (I love Bach), and also more urban music such as hip-hop, trip-hop and ambiant, but also different kind of electronic music. The distinction, for me, is not between genres but between what is good and what isn't.
Books: I tend to read classic stuff, but that's out of laziness of looking for good contemporary stuff. I especially like Dostoïevski and Kundera.

I can share my music skills and teach some theory or instrument. As a vegetarian, I can surely share recipees and tips for a healthy diet. I can also cook for you ! Good discussions about philosophy, politics and society guaranteed if you're in for it.
