Hey Everyone!

My boyfriend Nathaniel and I are happily cycling/travelling around Italy this autumn/winter, camping, trying out delicious food, volunteering on farms, haggling for bicycle parts, cycling til our legs fall off, and meeting some lovely people along the way! (and the occasional wild boar...) We're hoping to get down to Sicily before it gets too chilly, but not too fast because we'd love to check out what Italy has to offer along the way, and get to know some other friendly couch surfers :)

We're both very laid back and opened minded people, enjoy the occasional wine or two, and experiencing different ways of life.

We are currently based in Berlin, where we both work cafe jobs, learn German and delve into the city's nooks and crannies. Maybe you can visit us sometime when we get back in the spring!

It's awesome meeting up with people who have a passion for their home that we can share in and learn from- it makes towns so much more exciting and interesting, getting into the culture, knowing about the local hangouts, foods, eccentricities. We love the idea of having this constellation of friends across the world and having the chance to greet them and show them around some day too!

Interessen

I'm really into learning to live an independent lifestyle, growing my own food, fixing my own bike/clothes and I dream one day of building my own straw bale house back home, in New Zealand.

Also we're both really into art and food, so travelling around Italy has been wonderful, with all the local churches and local dishes.

We speak German and English and are happy to teach and help out with that!

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

We love to cook so if you'll let us we'll take over the kitchen- brunch is a big Kiwi specialty, for example. Also we can make some good coffee and give you some tips and contacts about NZ if you're thinking of heading over there. Oh and we can help out with basic bicycle maintenance if you're in a jam
