Overview
About Me
I am a doctor taking some time out to travel. I left the UK with my boyfriend in July 2016 and drove 10,000 miles in a tiny Nissan Micra all the way to Siberia to raise money for charity!
We have since been travelling around Asia, and are now looking to settle in Hong Kong.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have never enjoyed staying in hotels. I find them a sterile environment that doesn't enable me to really get a sense of the true essence of a destination.
Even before Airbnb, I have always searched out apartments in the heart of the places I visit so I can really absorb myself into my surroundings.
So many of my friends have used Couchsurfing, and I have only heard amazing things about the generosity and kindness shown to them. Traveling in this way seems like a fantastic opportunity to try it for myself.
I can only apologise that as I do not have my own place (I lodge when in the UK), that at the moment I cannot host myself.
